When your heart feels heavy...

I have so much going on in life that I feel like there is no time to further my relationship with God, and to further myself as a person. I have homework, drum line, play practice, family, Clarinet! I wouldn't give any of it up (well homework is an exception) but it is just so much! My heart feels heavy, like each thing that I have to do is another peice of junk that is collecting at the bottom of my heart.
Today (yes today) We had the most amazing theology class. I love, love, love our teacher Mrs. Wertin, (she reminds me a lot of someone I really love and who is an influential awesome person in my life) . We were going through Abraham story, which seems like something not so moving. But what faith! Oh my goodness, Abraham was 100 years old, and God told him he would have a son! And to sacrifice that son, that he had waited so long for! She challenged us to look at ourselves and to ask ourselves, would we do that? We all want to say we would, but I know I'm not there yet. I love how when she teaches she compares the story to us, to herself, to the world. She makes everything make perfect sense.

Just one second...

Have you ever felt in life, like you just need to hit the pause button and catch up for a moment? Like there is so much being thrown at you that you need a few more minutes than everyone else? That's how I feel right now.
Why do good things last mere moments, while bad things last much longer? Right now I feel this way about a lot of things. Kamp is only 2 weeks out of my whole year, but I wish it was the other way around, the whole year was only 2 weeks out of my kamp. I wish I got to see my favorite people, WAY more often that I do. I want the good things to be there forever!
I am aware that I am really depressed sounding right now, so I think I'm going to stop before I scare/bore someone. Wow, what a life.

Gotta Love youth Group!

Okay this is in bold for a reason! Because I love it! Youth group, which is only the best invention ever, has really helped me to stay close to God, in a time in my life where I would most likely stray from Him. Fr. Matthew is a really awesome priest and I kind of feel like I want to boycott all the masses he doesn't serve because he is just that awesome. Only other thing I did today was homework and have a discussion with Maggie about why it is or is not weird to name your Bible. You can tell that I enjoy naming things because my bible's name is Gerald. His name is that because I asked my brother to go get me my Bible and he said which one and I said Gerald. Everyone at school is naming their bibles too sooooo....yeah.

Also, random question...Ever heard that you aren't supposed to put anything on top of the Bible. Well is it ok to put a Bible on top pf another Bible? Awesome....yep that's it.

Maggie! Let's banana dance!

I was so excited today because Maggie came and we went to lunch. Before she even got here I managed to get her lost twice! We went to Red Robin...it was awesome! Came back and we were going to play on our snowboard swing...Maggie fails. Then she was flirted with by my brother and and got a tour of our house. We had an awesome discussion about my brothers inability to clean poop off his shoes and I was almost sprayed by a hose right when she was leaving. I'm pretty sure Maggie brings fun with her. Miss her already! Coolest song for today! I don't even remember what is was called but it was a mix of Viva la Vida and Love Story. Made of awesome! Also, just found out that our jazz band is playing viva la vida after Christmas... princess Sofia has pneumonia. Oh dear my life is crazy!

Funny Story: This morning I woke up because Sophie had crawled up onto my pillow and was licking my ear and biting my earings. She has a really long tongue so I'm pretty sure she was touching my brain.

Can I go to school please?

Ahhhh! I have been sick this whole week and my mom, though I love her dearly, will not let me go back to school! I am missing sooooo much and I NEED to and WANT to get back to school! I am going to miss the football game and Ms. Tyler, the drum line teacher is absoloutly going to flip...something worse than a brit fit I'm sure! I'm horribly bored at home! HELP ME!!

What a week

So having blogger blocked n computer is really making it hard to keep it updated. So on wednesday we got a new puppy named Lola. She was a shi tzu and had a good weekend. I didn't have school on Monday and was going to spend the whole day with my dad. Then we found out that Lola had died. She had a congenital heart defect. I hate the way this sounds but she had a warranty and so we went to get a new puppy. Her name is Sophie and she is a 10 week old shi-malt. She is really tiny! She is black and white and naughty as all get-out! I love her to death. Not really sure how our 10 year old chihuahua-poodle mix thinks about her! I am really sad at the loss of Lola, but I lrecently learned in theology class that suffering is one way that God draws us back to him. So that's all I have to say....so yeah
